Ronald Lewis Brewer, 69, passed away on January 14, 2014 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born March 11, 1944 in Jerome, Arizona to Peter James Brewer and Zelda Naomi Ray. He married his first wife, Judith Rae Wilson on June 2, 1967 in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple. Ron served in the LDS Chilean Mission from 1963-65. He attended Arizona State University and received both a BS in Marketing and an MBA. He joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War and served state-side and in Thailand as an Avionic Navigation Systems Specialist, and worked primarily on F-105 aircraft. He retired in 2007 from the ExxonMobil Corporation after 39 ½ years of service. His career began with Mobil Oil as a Tire and Battery Salesman, later as a Petroleum Landman, and retired as an International Negotiator for Latin America. On October 27, 2006 he married Rhonda Dee Reed in the Houston LDS Temple. In June 2012, they were called as a couple on a full-time mission to the Family and Church History Administration Mission in Salt Lake City, where he served in Natural Resources until his passing. Ron lived his life with honor, humility, Christ-like service, and always led his life by example.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; brothers, Daniel and John; sisters, Barbara (Lavold) and Patricia (LeSuer); four children with his first wife Judy, Daenon, Camaela (Tucker), Ryan and Tessa (Hartwig); and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Eagleridge LDS Chapel, 351 Lofty Lane, North Salt Lake. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Arizona.
