Ronald Craig Dobb, born August 2, 1948, graduated from this life on July 25, 2024, in the quiet of his home surrounded by his wife Melba and grandson Ethan. Ron was the son of Alfred John Dobb and Catherine Magdalena Vandersteen. Ron grew up in the heart of Salt Lake City near downtown and later in South Salt Lake. Growing up he learned to love golf, jazz music, and the outdoors. He also found joy in playing other sports such as tennis and loved to watch them. As a young man he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Monterrey Mexico. On April 27, 1974, Ron was married to Melba Mae Monson in the Salt Lake Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity. A few years later they welcomed their son Steven John and daughter Jennifer into their Salt Lake home. Ron was a loyal husband, loving father, and kind to everyone who knew him. Ron is proceeded in death by his parents and daughter, and survived by his wife Melba, their son Steve, his wife Annalyn and five grandchildren Ellie, Ethan, Seth, Alyssa, and Brianna.
Funeral services will be held July 30, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington Utah with a closed casket viewing from 9:30-10:30 am and funeral at 11:00. Interment will be at the Kaysville City Cemetery following the funeral services.
