Ronald Jay Harris

Bountiful, Ut - Ronald Jay Harris (89) passed away peacefully in his home on November 18, 2023. Ron was born June 12, 1934, to Andrew Jay and Ione Smit Harris.  He was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from Granite High School in the early 50’s.  He later served in the United States Military in the branch of the Army. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Utah.  Ron married the love of his life Betty Rae (Healey) on May 26, 1960.  In 1961 they welcomed their first son Brian (Michelle) Harris. They later welcomed their son Michael Harris in 1963. Ron enjoyed the company of his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Ron loved to golf and especially loved to go on camping trips with so many friends and family. Ron and Betty took pleasure in watching and attending many Utah Jazz games, he was an avid fan.  Ron touched many lives. He was a unique and charming guy.  He was beloved by many.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
