Ronald Fred Hubbard, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the age of 93. Ron was born on February 17, 1917, to Jesse LeRoy Hubbard and Sarah Estelle Beecher in Elba, Idaho. He married June DeNece Christiansen on November 10, 1948 in a triple wedding with Junes sisters Loya and Bonney. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Joseph Fielding Smith. June preceded him in death on March 17, 2007. He served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He worked as a court reporter in California Superior Court for 8 years, in the U.S. Federal Court in Utah for 20 years and freelanced on his own for 14 years. Ron was a faithful member of the LDS Church who had a strong testimony of the Savior. He served as a counselor in the Bishopric and as scoutmaster for 17 years. He and June served a mission together for 1 year in the Washington Tacoma Mission. They served another 2 years as stake missionaries when they returned home. He was an accomplished pianist and organist and played the organ in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples. He also entertained many at the Joseph Smith Building and at various retirement centers. He is survived by sisters Roberta Palmer, Ida Hoggan; brother Oren Hubbard; sisters-in-law Loya (Rich) Przybyla, Bonney (Robert) Droubay, Catheryen Christiansen; brother-in-law Jim (Adair) Christiansen; children Penny (Mark) MacKay, James (Connie) Hubbard, Mary (Jeff) Clarke, Jill (Eric) Cleaver, Jane Hubbard, S. Jesse (Lauri) Hubbard; 29 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Barton Creek Ward Building, 640 S. 750 E., Bountiful. Friends and Family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment at Willard City Cemetery.
