Ronald Anthon Littlefield

Ronald Anthon Littlefield passed away on November 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born August 12, 1948, in Richfield, Utah to Goulding and Ina Littlefield.  He lived in Richfield until the age of 12, at which time the family moved to Midvale Utah.  He graduated from Hillcrest High in 1966. A year later he served a mission in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. Those two years of his life was something that he would reflect upon and share stories from often.

After his mission, he attended Dixie College. Shortly after starting school he was voted most eligible bachelor. Ron met Joan in a sociology class during his first semester.  After his time at Dixie he continued his education at the University of Utah where he graduated with a Marketing degree. After graduation, he started working for the Volkers company, where he started his career in the floor covering industry.

Ron and Joan were married July 12, 1974, in the Ogden Utah temple. They established their home in West Bountiful, where they lived for 47 years and raised their 5 children. He served in many callings in the Church and in the community. Many deep and lasting friendships were formed during their time in West Bountiful.

Ron enjoyed his time outdoors with his family.  He loved spending time at the family cabin on Hebgen Lake in Montana.  He also spent many hours working in his garden and doing projects around the house.  

Ron is survived by his wife, Joan, and his five children, Steven (Kelly), Robert (Ann), Lori (Brian), Cindy, and Brent (Lissa) and 18 grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care and love they received from Hospice over the past month.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, the 25th of November 2023 at the West Bountiful 6th Ward LDS chapel, 1750 North 900 West.  A viewing will be held 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., followed by the Service at 12:00 p.m.   Interment will be at the Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, Bountiful Utah.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page.  The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
