Ronald Eugene Ludwig

On September 22, 2024, Ron passed away peacefully and unexpectedly. His body was too tired to keep going. 

Ron was born February 8, 1948 to Robert Ludwig and Lura Balefske Ludwig. Oldest of 8 children. 

After graduation from West High School he enlisted in the Marines. He flew a helicopter in the Vietnam War. Shortly after returning home he married Pam Wilson on August 28, 1970. Had 2 children. He worked many jobs, ended up working for the post office and retired from there. 

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was willing to serve in the church and help family and friends. He had a sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. 

He survived by son, Anthony (Mayumi) , daughter, Angela, grandsons, Anthony Fuijo and Kent, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, many in-laws and extended family. 

Preceded in death wife, Pam, his parents, one sister. The family would like to thank the VA Hospital staff for caring for him for lots of years. 

Thank for the U of U hospital staff in the SICU for caring for him in his final days. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.

Viewings will be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to services and will be posted below.

 Following the service there will be a luncheon at the church at 1476 North 600 West Bountiful Utah
