Ronald Stanley Morgan

November 4, 1938 — September 2, 2018

Ronald Stanley Morgan passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 2, 2018.  Ron was born in the heart of Bear Lake on November 4, 1938 to Esther and Stanley Morgan.  Ron was lucky enough to grow up on the family farm in Liberty, Idaho.  From there he served in the Utah National Guard and was trained in Fort Hood, TX, Fort Sill, OK and Fort Ord, CA.  He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission.  He attended LDS Business College and Utah State University.  Soon after he developed a love for computers.  Ron used his education to work as a Computer Analyst for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 29 years.  Ron met the love of his life, Portia Andrus, who he married on November 21, 1964 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He is survived by his wife Portia Andrus Morgan and their 5 children, Tonya Hatch (Gary), Cindie Taft, Jaren Morgan (Tami), Lori Hale (Mike), and Cami Sano (AJ) and 17 grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister Genice Hoth, and 2 brothers, Dean Morgan and Blake Morgan.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Esther Morgan and sister Noreen Schwartz.

The family would like to thank the emergency staff at Mountain Star Hospital in Bountiful, Utah for their kind and loving care.

Funeral services at Bountiful 53rd ward building (1356 North 650 East Bountiful, UT) on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00AM with a viewing prior to services at 9:30 AM.  Viewing on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM at the same 53rd ward building.  Interment Centerville City Cemetery.
