Rory Alan Cochran

October 25, 1968 – March 24, 2017

Rory was born in Stockton, California the third son of Charles and Bonnie Cochran. He was raised in California until 1980 when his family moved to Salt Lake City. He attended South High.

Rory was a talented musician, playing drums, guitar and keyboard. He had a powerful voice and an easy way of singing. Most remember how very funny he was at times. He was a husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He loved his family unconditionally.

Rory lived for a time in Florida and Indiana where he had many relatives from his father's side of the family. He had a love for gardening, was at times a fish hobbyist, making beautiful koi ponds and fountains. He loved to cook, was a back yard mechanic, and could fix just about anything.

He leaves behind a grieving family and friends; His wife Susan, children Sariah, Kiley, Kade, Rosie and Rory Jr. Also his mother, Bonnie Par, brothers Troy, Charles and Jerry and sister Katie. He also was the grandfather of six… Kiyah, McKenna, Jaden, Abigail, Ana and Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cochran, his special cousin, Thomas Henry, his cousin Jon and his grandparents.

We know somehow he's up there singing and picking his guitar. Go with God, dear Rory, we will miss you and we love you so.

Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3rd at the Russon Mortuary Chapel, 255 S. 200 E., Salt Lake City, UT.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
