Rosa Elena Reyes Garcia

Rosa Elena Reyes Garcia passed away peacefully on the morning of July 21st, 2016 surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 18th 1949 to Elvira Espino and David Garcia.

We were so blessed to have her with us for as long as we did. She was the second oldest of 8 children in her family and she always took it upon her to take care of her younger siblings in any way she could.

She loved sewing and taking care of her garden as well as attend the Bountiful Temple as often as she could.

She made several wedding and formal gowns for friends and family including her daughter Angela’s wedding gown which she used to get sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple.

She was preceded in her death by her loving father.

She leaves behind her children, Rossana Villela, Angela Stringham, Ana Schooley and her grandchildren, Astrid Vasquez, Kevin Vasquez, Stephany Vazquez and Lannaea Schooley.

A special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice Care for providing such phenomenal care in her last weeks with us.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28,. 2016 at the West Bountiful Stake Center, 1930 North 600 West. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Wednesday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment to follow at City View Memoriam 1001 11th Ave. Salt Lake City, UT 84103
