Rose Adele Gwynn

Rose Adele Gwynn returned to her Heavenly Father and beloved family on June 11, 2024. She was gifted to pass away peacefully surrounded by family who loved her. Her life began December 10, 1949; in Salt Lake City, Utah with her parents Raymond Alfred and Rosabelle Streeper Gwynn. She and her parents lived in the beautiful community of Centerville most of their lives. 

Adele loving knowledge and learning attended the University of Utah achieving a bachelor's degree in German. Part of her degree she studied abroad in Germany and loved it. Later she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Montana-Wyoming Mission. 

Upon her return she fell in love with family history and completed temple work for countless others throughout her life. Language was very important to Adele, and she taught herself Swedish, Spanish, and Hebrew to help her endeavors in genealogy and gospel study. Adele loved playing the piano and wrote beautiful music for her poems. She was also a gifted artist and created several paintings.

Adele battled Facioscapulohunera I Muscular Dystrophy with great patience, endurance, and grace from a very young age. As her disease advanced, she showed great strength and faith to accomplish all that she could despite her lost functionality. Her positive attitude blessed those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Wallace and Merrill Gwynn.

The family would like to express appreciation and love to all the friends and neighbors who selflessly served Adele throughout the years. Thanks also to the staff at Covington Assisted Living for their wonderful care of Adele while she has been with them. 

There will be a graveside service for Adele’s family and friends at 10:00 am on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Centerville City Cemetery, 650 East 400 South, Centerville, Utah.
