Rosellen Moyes

February 7, 1934 — July 2, 2012

Rosellen Jensen Moyes “Rose”, 78, passed away July 2, 2012 due to pancreatic cancer. Rose was born February 7, 1934 near Ontario, Oregon. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952. She married her childhood sweetheart, Warren, on March 5, 1955.
Rose was a very giving person. She gave generously to the food bank and many other charities. She was widely known for her brownies. She served as Centerville 2nd ward librarian for many years. It was her favorite of many callings. She was an active member of DUP.
Rose loved working at the Davis County DMV for 25 years. She and Warren lived many places and made friends everywhere they went. They enjoyed the Oregon coast. She loved collecting agates and sand dollars on the beach. They loved “wintering” in Arizona and enjoyed the many friends there.
She was the “BEST” and “COOLEST” mom and grandma ever!
The Moyes family would like to thank Intermountain Homecare Hospice and all the many medical care givers that helped Rose in her illness.
Rose is survived by her husband of 57 years, Warren; 3 daughters, Denine Smith (Steve), Stansbury Park, Ut., Leslie Bird, Salt Lake City, Ut., Peri Griffin (Aaron), Syracuse, Ut.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; brother, Everett Jensen, Vancouver, Wa. Preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Ricks Creek Chapel, 1450 North 50 East. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Saturday 11:45-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services.
