Ruth Wilcox Noall Pratt
July 17, 1920 June 7, 2014
Ruth, age 93, passed away from congestive heart failure surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Salt Lake City to Matthew Frederick Noall and Claire Augusta Wilcox Noall. She graduated from East High School and the University of Utah, where she affiliated with Chi Omega Sorority. Ruth was blessed with many talents that she generously shared with others. She loved to read, cook, travel, sew, knit and oil paint. Her childhood summers were spent at their family summer home in Mt Air Canyon where she learned to love nature. She subsequently passed on her love of nature to her family, and she could name most all of the wild flowers along the Wasatch Front. Ruth served her family, church and community in various capacities such as President of Curtis School PTA, President of Utah Bar Auxiliary, and was involved in many other womens organizations. Active in the LDS church, Ruth married her college sweetheart, Elliott Lee Pratt, on Feb. 15, 1946. They were later sealed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on May 10, 1962. Ruth and Lee built a cabin on the Upper Provo River where they created many wonderful memories with their family. Their family carries on that tradition and loves spending time at their cabin. Ruth had a tremendous capacity to love and show interest in others. That great interest in others was returned to her by a steady stream of visitors in her final days. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Lee on Nov. 14, 2011.
