Ruth Reed

Ruth Kerr Reed, 89, passed away peacefully at Legacy House in Taylorsville, Utah, July 18, 2014.
Ruth was born on January 22, 1925 in Bountiful, Utah to Nathan Henry and Isabelle Day Robins Kerr. She married Max Holbrook Reed July 27, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan 7, 1952. She attended Davis High School and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ruth had a great love for family history, painting, sketching, reading, family adventures and road trips with Max and family.
Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband Max, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Ruth is survived by one brother, Rex Robins Kerr and 5 children: Mike (Kathy) Reed, Connie (David) Emett, Robert (TerriLynn) Reed, Kent (Mae) Reed, Dick (Corie) Reed, 28 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
The family expresses sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff members at Legacy House and Aspire Hospice.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, at Cannon 5th Ward, 1250 West 1400 South, SLC. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. preceding the funeral service. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guestbook available at russonmortuary.com.
