S. Aaron Smith

Stanley “Aaron” Smith, 45 returned to his Heavenly Father on December 12, 2018.  He passed away due to complications after surgery.  He was born on April 5, 1973 to Stanley Allan Smith and Terrance (Teri) Michele Marsh Smith-Atkin.   He grew up in Bountiful, Utah. 

Aaron was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He served a full-time mission in the Riverside, California Mission.   Upon returning from his mission, he met his sweet wife Elizabeth Findley. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah Temple on February 20, 1999.  Aaron and Liz had many great adventures before purchasing a home in Clearfield Utah.  He was blessed with 3 beautiful daughters.  His greatest accomplishment was being a dad and a husband.  As a family they took many road trips and made many great memories along the way. 

He graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Organizational Communications and loved his job as a Human Resources Consultant for Intermountain Health Care.

Aaron held many church callings and especially loved serving the members of the Clearfield 2nd Ward.  

He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Allan Smith and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Liz) Smith and daughters Katie Norma Smith, Emma Rachel Smith, and Sarah Jane Smith;  mother Terrance (Teri) Smith-Atkin;  brothers  Matthew Allan Smith (Gloria) and Randy Atkin;  Liz’s parents Jeff and Janet Findley; Sisters-in-law Raelyn Findley and Julie Whiting;  Aunts, uncle and cousins; and many dear friends.

Funeral services with be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the  Clearfield  2nd Ward, 1245 south 1175 East, Clearfield, Utah.  A viewing with be held Tuesday evening, December 18, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Clearfield 2nd Ward  and Wednesday before the service from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Funeral is under the direction of Russon Mortuary in Bountiful, Utah.
