Sadie Faith Angelos returned to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a brief 26 minute life. She spent her time on earth in the loving arms of her mother and felt the comfort of her father’s touch. She was enveloped completely in love. We are so thankful that during this time, her father also had the chance to give her a name and a beautiful eternal blessing.
Sadie’s passing was the result of a medical condition called Thanatophoric Dysplasia. More than once and by multiple sources, her diagnosis and medical conditions were referred to us as a “lightning strike.” We know, however, that while this may be the case medically, it is not so spiritually. Our loving Heavenly Father has a plan for her and this was part of the plan. She needed a body and we feel honored to have helped in giving her one. Sadie is a perfect spirit who did not need to spend time on earth learning. She did not need to endure trials to help her grow. She was born perfect and we are thankful for the knowledge that she will enjoy an eternity in the highest Celestial glory with her Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that Sadie will be given many important tasks, one of which is to be a teacher to others. Although her time here was short, the lessons she taught and memories she created will be long lived. Already, she has deeply strengthened our testimony of Heavenly Father’s plan and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, helped us see things in an eternal perspective, shown us the blessings of following the Spirit’s guidance, and because of Sadie, we have learned to rely on faith in a way we never have before. Faith is one of the very meaningful things she brought to our family, and is a legacy she leaves for everyone.
Sadie is survived and honored by her parents, Zack and Kristin Angelos, brother, Stockton Penman, sisters, Kailee and Jaycie Angelos, paternal grandparents, Tom and Candie Angelos, maternal grandparents, Christopher Powell, and Perry and Karrin Knuth, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Bountiful Mueller Park 5th Ward, 1320 E. 1975 S., Bountiful. Viewing will be at the ward from 2:00 until 2:45 prior to the services.
The memory of Sadie will stay with all who had the privilege of seeing and knowing her, and through the ripple effect, her memory and life will touch an infinite number of people. She is a blessing, an angel, and words cannot describe how thankful we are that she came to us, or how great our love is for her. We look forward in faith to the day we will see and be with her again for eternity.
