Sally Benedict

Sally Benedict, born on March 15, 1953 to George Call and Marian Meyers Benedict, passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2018. Sally was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to serve all she met. She had a wonderful sense of humor and found lifelong delight in being born on the “Ides of March,” an ominous date with both historical and Shakespearean significance. She had an innate ability to find the good in people and in the world around her and found great joy in the lives and company of her loved ones, both family and friends.
Sally graduated from the University of Utah where she studied English and education. After graduating, she worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until she retired. She also served two LDS missions, the first in Argentina and the second as a temple worker in the Santiago, Chile temple. She was passionate about family history work and spent much of her time not only finding her ancestors and learning of their lives and stories but also helping others find and learn about their own ancestors as well.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and sister-in-law. She leaves behind many who love her including her sister and brother, her brother-in-law, eight nieces and nephews and their spouses, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be missed deeply, but her example and her unfailing kindness will, throughout eternity, light the lives of those she touched with her goodness and generosity. God be with you, Sally, until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Bountiful 26th Ward, 200 North 200 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment-Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
