Sandra Faye Clark (Newton) passed away peacefully on the December 5, 2019, passing surely into her Heavenly Fathers loving care. Sandy (Noodles) was born in Thomasville, GA, on August 18, 1943 and moved with her family to Jacksonville, FL shortly thereafter, living for several years on the northeast side of the city, and after WWII her parents moved to 3124 3rd Street. Sandy graduated from Paxon High School and worked for Prudential in their Securities and Banking Division. Sandy and her husband, Larie, have three children, Shannon L. O'Neill, Bradley J. Clark, and Marci Lyn Clark, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sandy and Larie moved to North Salt Lake, UT in 1998. She was a beloved wife, mother, friend and a devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her family, relatives, and friends and will be dearly missed by cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. Sandy had a zest for life and an infectious smile to go along with her southern accent and charm. Sandy and her close friend Sister Anne Kuhn owned and operated the NameDropper Dress shop for a number of years and dressed many of Jacksonville's best dressed women of the time. She was very active in civic areas of the Jacksonville community, President of the PTA for several years at Jeb Stuart Middle School. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Woodrow Newton and her mother, Claudia Cates Newton of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Woodbriar Ward Building, 900 Eaglepointe Drive, North Salt Lake, Utah, with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 am prior to the service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah.
