Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, passed away November 29th due to complications while recovering from her 5th back surgery. Sandi was an avid reader of novels and cook books, a great cook, loved camping and fishing, and especially loved her dogs.
Even though she suffered with constant severe pain for many years, that may have kept most people down. Sandi was always willing to help her friends, husband and family. No one will ever know how badly she really hurt. The last 8 years were very hard for her. Her strength, courage, and toughness were amazing. Sandi met her husband, Von, through a mutual friend, {thanks Connie}. They emailed each other for a couple of weeks, until Von finally asked her for a date. They didnt go out for coffee, a movie, or dinner. Their first date was on July 16th, 2000, a fishing trip to Daniels reservoir near Malad, Idaho. Sandi caught the biggest trout shed ever caught. She also landed the only fish that day. It was a great day. Sandi and Von both knew that first date, that theyd found the person for them. Like Sandi always said, It was meant to be. She loved camping and fishing, their truck, and their trailer. Camping and fishing in the Uintas with Von and their dogs was her idea of heaven. She truly loved that area. Next was going to Yellowstone. Camping and fishing in the mountains. It was therapy for her. Sandi adored her grandchildren. The smile she got when just talking to them on the phone was amazing. She truly loved her father-in-law like a father and he in turn loved her like a daughter.
Sandi is survived by her husband, Von Opoulos; mother, Edna King; sisters, Lisa and Laura; brothers,Warren and Lee; daughter, Tyra; and her grandchildren: Austin, Aurie, and Zach. She was preceded in death by her brother, LaRay King, and her father, C. Ray King. Sandi lived her life with a beautiful smile, and a friendly welcome for all. She was always concerned about others more than herself. Sandi was a true friend and a fierce foe. A person who earned love and respect by actions not just words. She will always be loved, and remembered with fondness, caring, and respect. Sandi, from me to you ~ Forever and Always. Sandi Could have missed the pain. but shed have had to miss the Dance. she completed the last step of her Dance November 29, 2014.
