Our dear Sarah had a stroke while asleep in her apartment, and died suddenly in the early hours of October 6, 2015.
Sarah was born to Robert and Barbara Kime in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, the seventh of eleven children. Her family moved to Bountiful when she was three. She graduated from Woods Cross High School and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration from Weber State University. She moved to Seattle in 2012, and most of the time she lived there she worked for Bellevue Lasik, which was a wonderful blessing in her life. She had just recently begun a new position as manager of Duan Orthodontics. She loved the people there and was very excited to help grow that practice. She also worked part-time at Home Depot, and loved the great people she met and worked with there. She loved her family ward where she had served as Gospel Doctrine teacher and was serving as a counselor in the Relief Society.
Sarah was a joy from day one. She was a sweet, happy, beautiful, smart, athletic child. She came with a beautiful spirit, and with many talents. She can play piano, sing, cook, sew, work hard, create beauty around her, and lift others. She is kind, compassionate, and caring, friendly to all, and always wants to help and to make things better. She is a loyal, generous, devoted, loving friend. She is always trying to learn and improve. She has great courage, strength, determination, and faith. She is funny, so funny, and so much fun! Everything is more fun with Sarah. Just thinking about her smile and her laugh will fill our hearts with her gift for joy. She loves babies and kids and is so happy for her friends who are married and having babies. She adores her nieces and nephews, and dotes on her adorable niece Brooklynn, who also lives in Seattle.
When Sarah moved to Seattle she started her life over. She gave her life to Jesus Christ in a new way and He made her life a miracle. She showed us all the true power of the Atonement. She lives every day striving to be a disciple. She radiates her love for life, for people, and for her Savior. She loves to attend the Temple and went often. She has a missionary badge on her heart and loves to tell others about her Mormon faith.
Sarah is preceded in death by her older brother Matthew, who died in 2010, and by her nephew Brody (Stephen's son) who died in 1995. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Barbara Kime; by her siblings: Robert and his wife Sharon, in Atlanta, Georgia, and their six children, David (on an LDS mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil), Nathan, Abigail, Olivia, Thomas, and Sophie; Michael; Stephen and his wife Melissa, in Seattle, Washington, and their children, Brin and her baby Alaska, Dara Kate, Braxton, and Brooklynn; Richard; Mary and her son Isaac; Benjamin; Bradley and his wife Chelsea, in Charlottesville, Virginia; Rachel; and Emily and her husband Justin Ferrin.
Words cannot express the loss we feel. Sarah, we miss you. We love you. We are grateful for our time with you on this earth. Only with faith in Christ can we face our lives without you, until we are together again. For now, we love to think of you lighting up the place of peace and rest where you are.
With all our hearts, we thank each of you who loved Sarah and blessed her life with your friendship and kindness. Thank-you also for all the prayers, and expressions of love and sympathy, which hold us up and give us enormous comfort.
