Scott Alan Wray

May 6, 1952 — August 21, 2018

Scott Alan Wray of Bountiful, Utah passed away on August 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family from complications of cancer.

He was born on May 6, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David H. Wray M.D. and Norene Roberts Wray.  He was their second child. Roger was first and Cyndi, K.C. and Lance followed.

He went to Bountiful and J.A. Taylor Elementary. Then he went to South Davis Junior High and graduated from Bountiful High School in 1970.

Scott married Debra Fletcher in 1986.  They were later divorced.  Their children are Andrew Wray, Ashlee Wray Norton (Brock), Molly Wray Ostler (Tom) and Sadie Wray Ostler (Dan).  He has 8 grandchildren.  McKenna; London, Tate and Beckett Norton; Thomas and Katherine Ostler; and Sophie, Holland and Marley Ostler.

He worked for many years and had an amazing talent and wonderful reputation as a local painter. He was one of the hardest workers around.  His employees loved him very much.

He had many adversities in his life, but had the strength and determination to overcome them all. He (and we) are very proud of his 8 years of sobriety.

He is survived by his parents David & Norene Wray, his brothers Roger (Ruth) West Bountiful, K.C. (Corinne) Mesa, Arizona and Lance Salt Lake City and sister Cyndi (Rod) Centerville. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Debra Wray and nephew Travis Lawrence.
