Scott Keith Stuart

October 10, 1954 — May 8, 2019

Scott Keith Stuart passed away quietly on Wednesday May 8, 2019, surrounded by loved ones after battling Parkinson’s for nearly 20 years. Born on October 10, 1954 in San Francisco, California, he was the oldest of seven children born to Frank Keith Stuart and Carlene Elizabeth Jorgensen.

Scott was raised in Bountiful, Utah and graduated from Bountiful High School. He grew up a thrill seeker, always offriding motorcycles and snowmobiles in remote, precarious places. He was also an avid boater and lawnsman, winning the “best backyard in Bountiful” many times over and regarded by many as having the best manicured lawn in the Western United States.

Upon completion of high school, Scott was called to the Copenhagen, Denmark mission. He remained a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings and always exhibiting a heart of service.

After returning home from his mission, Scott studied Finance at the University of Utah. He was exceptionally hardworking and went on to have a successful career as a financial expert witness.

Scott was best known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was also a devout husband and father and will be missed by many. His family is deeply grateful for all of those who loved and cared for him during the later stages of his life.

Scott is survived by his wife Karen (Olson) Stuart, his four children Tiffany (Stuart) Barrus, Jeremy Stuart, Tyler Stuart, and Ally (Stuart) Brown, and his eight grandchildren Kaden Barrus, Beckham Barrus, Addison Barrus, Sloane Stuart, Zoey Stuart, Zane Stuart, Madix Brown, Gunner Brown, and his beloved grand-dog Goose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Keith Stuart and Carlene Elizabeth Jorgensen.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 14th, 2019 at 11:00am at the Canyon Estates LDS church located at 965 Oakwood Drive Bountiful, Utah. Viewings will be held Monday May 13th from 6:00-8:00pm at Russon Mortuary at 295 N Main St. in Bountiful as well as the morning of the funeral from 9:30am – 10:30am in the same building as the funeral services. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, UT 84010.
