Serena Cheryl Afualo

Serena Cheryl Afualo was born on November 29th 1978 in Pago Pago, American Samoa to Atisa and Surran Afualo and returned to her Heavenly Father on August 6th 2016 at home in West Jordan, Utah. Our sister was a true warrior princess during her three-year battle with cancer. She took it head on and smiled through every trial. Rena was proud of her Maori and Samoan heritage and loved to bake Maori bread and panipopo. We will miss the love she freely shared and the brightness of the light she shined for all. Rena is preceded in death by our parents Atisa Patane Afualo & Surran Afualo, grandparents: Nuuuli Paialii Afualo & Opapo Afualo, Tuitufu Fateia Patane & Rachael Aotutahanga Patane. She is survived by her sisters Nurry Afualo Decapot and Jeniffer Afualo-Robinson, her brothers Shane Afualo and Christian Afualo, and her nephew and niece who were the loves of her life Mikah and Mikayla Robinson-Jordan.
Funeral services will be held on August 11th, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah 84010, with a viewing 1 hour prior to services. Burial services will follow afterwards at Elysian Gardens 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Utah 84117. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home.
