Sharon Nelson Butters passed away February 25th, 2014 from complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born to Vander and Mildred Nelson in Cedar City, UT on December 7, 1935, where she was surrounded by her beloved red dirt, which, she was pleased to leave behind upon her move to SLC for higher education. She married the love of her life, Kay Rich Butters on October 2, 1958 in Evanston, WY. From this marriage came three girls, the pride and joy of their parents, Robin, Wendi and Penni. She loved homemaking, sewing, cooking, knitting, needlework, martinis, holidays and most of all her family. She was a long time member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendi Butters (Harry Lee), and Penni (Paul) de Haan; Grandchildren: Kaitlin Titsworth, Dalton Titsworth, Jessie (Doug) Edwards; brother, Scott (Kathy) Nelson; and sister Judi Jones. Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Kay, daughter Robin and son in law Kurt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3 at 11:00 AM at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held Sunday, March 2 from 5-7 PM and Monday morning one hour prior to services.
By invitation from the love of her life, she is now dancing the night away once again in his arms.
