Our sweet Auntie passed away from pneumonia on July 2, 2016 at the age of 78. She was born in Wellington, Utah to Pearl and Howard Roe Belt. Auntie overcame many health challenges. As a child, she endured polio, which helped make her a strong, patient women. Sharon Kay Belt (Auntie) served our country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force, where she learned her accounting profession. Sharon worked for many years in the transportation industry as an accountant. When she was 28, her mother, Pearl, passed away, so she took over the role of mother to her four younger brothers, raising them with tender love and patience. Sharon was very close to her older sister Arleen, always serving her and her family. Auntie never had children of her own, but she was a "mother" and "grandmother" to all her nieces, nephews and their families. The name "Auntie" is a term of endearment for a special lady, full of unconditional love, loyalty, and humor.
She is survived by her brothers, Damon (Paula) Cornish, Chad Belt, Verl (Janet) McFarlene, Deloy (Terry) McFarlene, Brother-in-law Arvill Pace, and Sister in law Adele Belt. Her special relationship with her nieces, Susie and Cheryle, and their families will be forever embedded in their hearts as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Sister, and five Brothers.
Viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary. 295 N Main Bountiful Utah, from 10-11 on Thurs, July 7th, 2016 prior to graveside services at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 State St, Sandy, UT at 11:30.
