Sharon Keate was born December 16, 1941 and passed away September 6, 2012. She grew up in Garfield, Magna, and in Salt Lake City. She met Terrill Keate when she was 15 years old, and they were married on July 7, 1962 in Magna, Utah. Shortly after getting married they moved to Vacaville, California, where their first child, Steve, was born July 1, 1963 at the Travis Air Force Base hospital. After Terrill’s service in the Air Force, they returned to Utah where their daughter, Lisa Michelle was born on February 24, 1967.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Afton (Anderson) Holt.
Sharon has two brothers, Bill (Darlene) and David; and three sisters, Deloris (Marlow), Carol (deceased) and Shirley (Larry).
Sharon has six grandchildren: Devin (Ally), Whitney, Brittney (Cory), Lexie, Cory and Kayla; and one great-grandchild, Zoey.
Sharon spent three years in Germany with her husband where they enjoyed traveling to various European locations. Of all the places they traveled, Hawaii was her favorite. She especially loved its beauty and climate.
Sharon and her husband, Terrill, moved to the St. George area in 1996. While living in Southern Utah, they enjoyed exploring the desert and traveling together. Sharon also enjoyed spending time with her friends, working out at Curves, and being with her Curves buddies.
Sharon loved her husband, brothers, sisters, friends, children, grandchildren and her new great-granddaughter very much.
Sharon was one-of-a-kind, and in spite of the medical issues she encountered throughout her life, she fought a valiant battle and tried to live life to the fullest! She had a loving heart and was the best companion anyone could ask for.
Friends and family are invited for a gathering at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
