Sharon Rae McDermaid

Sharon Rae McDermaid passed away peacefully on Sunday evening February 19, 2023 surrounded with love from all her family.
Sharon was born May 29, 1936 in Salt Lake City Ut. Her parents were Lester Bird Spencer and Helen Elizabeth Spencer
Sharon was a daughter , wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Devoted to her family. Sharon and her husband Reed supported their two children Corinne Lee and Melanie (Neal). Their 6 grandchildren Jennifer Warner, Brandon (Tara) Beckstead, Matt (Amanda) Theel, Daniel (Stacy) Beckstead, Nicholas (Samantha) Beckstead, and Mikell (Zach) Wright, as well as their 17 great grandchildren: Rachel, Carter, Katherine, Hallie, Evelyn, Devin, Boston, Emmett, William, Waylon, Hyrum, Owen, Briggs, Penny, Skylee,Grace, and Harvey. Attending many sporting events, programs, and everything they could get too.
Sharon became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 70 years old. A year later Reed and Sharon were sealed in the Bountiful temple. 
Reed and Sharon loved the outdoors and purchased a cabin they had always dreamed of. Many wonderful years they enjoyed family gatherings there. Later they got a trailer and went camping with Neal and Melanie and their families yearly to Yellowstone National Park and a favorite Bridger Lake where Reed loved to fish . They also loved traveling to Portland  to visit Jennifer and her family and spend special times with them especially Thanksgiving when Jen would cook a delicious dinner for them.
Sharon was a care taker for Reed for 3 years and spent everyday by his side. They were able to celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary on February 22, 2022.  
Sharon was preceded in death by Reed for only 4 months and their daughter Corinne Lee. 
Reed and Sharon will be celebrating  again this week a heavenly reunion and their 71st anniversary together again.
A private graveside service will be held Fri. February 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn  3401 S Highland Dr. Millcreek Ut.
