Sheena Laurie Eldredge

Sheena Laurie (Thornock) Eldredge, aged 59, died on February 1, 2016 at home in Bountiful Utah due to heart failure. Laurie was born June 28, 1956 in Killeen, Texas, the daughter of Carl R. Thornock and Bonnie L. Martin.

Laurie grew up in various places across Idaho and Montana with her favorite being around Bloomington Idaho. With a lot of friends and family around she grew to love the outdoors. Later in life she sought to go camping with family whenever the occasion allowed and Bear Lake was her favorite outdoor destination.

During her adult life Laurie lived in Butte, Montana, Rio Dell, California, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Pocatello, Idaho and Bountiful, Utah. She was loved by many and made friends wherever she lived.

Laurie obtained her associates degree from the Easter Idaho Technical College with an emphasis in computer repair. Later in life she was employed at Heinz in Pocatello Idaho and Walmart in Pocatello Idaho and Centerville Utah.

Laurie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended the 13th and 36th wards during her sojourn in Bountiful, Utah.

Laurie is survived by her sister, Sherry (Ed Snieder) Thornock Bushong of Rigby, Idaho; daughters, Alisha (Terry) Hurlbert of Clatskanie Oregon and Melissa Hancock of Arizona; son, Joseph (Elizabeth) Lappi of Bountiful Utah, 15 grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Laurie was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, brother, son, nephews and other loved ones.

Funeral services will commence at 12:00 on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the LDS chapel located at 1320 E 1975 S, Bountiful Utah. The family and friends will meet for one hour before services at the same location.
