Sheila Bird

November 18, 1961 — August 31, 2019

Sheila passed away with her husband and four children near her on Saturday, August 31, 2019.  She was born November 18, 1961 in San Diego, California.  Her parents, Bill and Cleora Cuzick moved to Woods Cross, UT where they made a home for their three children; Laurie, Sheila and David.  She married Dee Bird on March 3, 1978.  In February the following year their family grew with the birth of Melissa.  Following her were Shawn, Jennifer, and Andrew.  The 3rd child was the best.

Sheila's family meant everything to her.  Every holiday and birthday anytime she was asked what would she like her response was always the same.  I just want my kids.  Overtime that changed to include her grandkids and then her Great-Grandbabies.   You couldn't help but roll your eyes like come on give us something good but that is all she genuinely wanted – Her Family.

A close family friend said that in today's day and age Social Media can be a friend or a foe.  Our family has learned that in this instance it is a friend.  We have been exposed to the truly amazing, kind, and genuine woman that she was.  Sheila was the light at her office where she was a Purchasing Tech for the State of Utah for 26 years.  All of her co-workers looked forward to her polite "Hello" and kind demeanor along with her willingness to always help.  Family friends have come out to say how much advice she so freely gave or how she just simply listened meant the world to them.  Sheila always shone so bright but was very often the one in the back of the room with her husband watching and admiring all those around her.

She leaves behind the love of her life and Soulmate Dee Bird, their four children: Melissa (Trent), Shawn (Carolyn), Jennifer (Jesse), and Andrew; 13 Grandkids: Nick, Bryce (Kayeli), Colby (Mystery), Korbin, Natasha (Matt), Brittany, Damion, Courtney, Dominick, Mason, Braiden, Peyton, and Evelyn as well as three Great-Grandbabies: Emrie, Lucas and Kysen.  Preceding her in death are her parents; Bill and Cleora, and one Grand Daughter Aspen.

Special thanks is offered to Davis County Sheriff's Office, South Davis Metro Fire, Lakeview Hospital & Staff.  Actions truly speak louder than words so to our family's guides that were at the hospital, Fire Chief Jeff Bassett and Scott Maughan – "Thank you!  You're actions truly gave us peace!"

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main where a visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning one hour prior to services.  Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com

Following the services on Friday the family would like to invite anyone to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 9th Ward, 790 West 1500 South, Woods Cross for a luncheon.  That evening close friends and family are welcome at the Rosvall's house for a celebration of life at 5:00 p.m.
