Sheldon Andrew Boothe passed away suddenly on 14 August 2023 at age 29. Sheldon, who was fondly known as Shel or Shelly, was born in Bountiful, Utah, on 14 February 1994 to Gregory Ken Boothe and Kathy (Anderson) Boothe. He was one of five siblings and will be desperately missed by Kenny (Jaime), Camille (Aaron Jorgensen), Trae, and Katelyn (Nate Logan), and his cousin Bailey, who was like a sister to him. He was close to all his siblings, and they enjoyed many camping trips together.
Sheldon attended Davis High School, where he met the love of his life, Makenzie (KK) Kramer. After High School, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from Weber State University. Shortly after graduating college, Shel and Kenzie married on 9 June 2017. They purchased Sheldon’s childhood home in Kaysville soon after, and remodeled it, making it into the home where they could build their family together. Sheldon was the proud father of two boys, Baker (age 4) and Ledger (age 2). The boys are the spitting image of Sheldon and it breaks our hearts that they will have to grow up without their loving father. Being a dad was the highlight of Sheldon’s life; he loved playing with his boys, especially having “boys days,” when they’d put down a sheet, take off their shirts, and watch football together, snacking like crazy. We hope that as the boys get older, they will come to know their dad more as those of you who knew and love Sheldon share memories and stories from his life.
Always up for an adventure, Sheldon loved camping, biking, video games, corn hole, and random spurts of frisbee golf. He was a huge Packers fan and loved golfing at Oakridge Country Club, where he worked during high school.
Four years ago, Sheldon lost his father, who we know was there waiting to greet him with a big hug. Sheldon was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ryan Webster, his grandparents, and his cousin Hayden. He is survived by many loved ones, including from his immediate family, his wife, his sons, his mother, his stepmother Nicole (Andrew) Boothe-Webster, and his siblings. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Dixie and Scott Kramer, and siblings-in-law, Corry (Stephanie) Webster, Kara (Perry) Follis, Tyson, Madison (Armando) Burrola, and Becca Webster. Sheldon was a beloved uncle and leaves behind the following crew of nieces and nephews: Oliver, Andie, Aubrey, Beckham, Harrison, Jaxson, Rockson, Pete, Nash, Dublin, Charlie, Benjamin, Lucia, Bentley, Oaklee, Callie, and Miles.
On Friday, 18 August 2023, we will hold a celebration of life for Sheldon at Dixie and Scott Kramer’s house, 86 West Shepard Lane, Kaysville, Utah, at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, 19 August 2023, funeral services will be at the meetinghouse at 1520 South Fox Pointe Drive, Kaysville, at 11:00 am. The family requests that attendees wear blue, his favorite color, in remembrance.
Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
In lieu of flowers a GoFundMe has been set up to ease the burden for Kenzie during this difficult time.
