Shereen Forsyth Christensen returned home to the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father on August 14, 2024, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with those who have gone before her.
Born on August 29, 1957 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Shereen was a beacon of light to her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. Her cheerful smile, thoughtful service, and unwavering love touched the lives of many. Shereen's passion for life was evident in all she did. Whether she was tending to her beautiful garden, making blankets for loved ones, or dropping off surprise gifts, Shereen's generosity and light knew no bounds. Her infectious laughter and genuine smile could light up any room, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. She lived her life in service to others, always finding ways to bring comfort, joy, and support to those around her.
Shereen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served in many callings including Relief Society, Young Women’s, Primary, and serving in the temple.
Above all, Shereen's greatest joy was her family. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to ensuring their happiness and well-being.
Shereen will be remembered for her boundless love, her resilience and strength, her cheerful spirit, and her extraordinary ability to uplift and serve those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her and she will be missed dearly.
Shereen is survived by her parents- Robert and Janeen Forsyth; her children- Rocky (Rachel) Christensen, Colleen (Trent) Preston, Alan Christensen, and Derek (Mary) Christensen; her grandchildren- Jacksen, Carter, Claire, Ty, Eliza, Grant, Nora, Howard, Charlie, Rose, Archer, Talmage, and Quinten; her siblings- Terry (Renae) Forsyth, JoAnn (Ed) Featherstone, Allison (Bob) Klis, Mike (Teresa) Forsyth, and John (Kenna) Forsyth; along with extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Shereen's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 12:00pm (noon) at the Maple Way Ward chapel located at 380 S. Fairfield Road in Layton, Utah. A visitation will precede services beginning at 11:00am.
