Shirley Ann Phipps Jacobs

Shirley passed away on August 29, 2021, in Bountiful Utah. The daughter of Cyril Phipps and Lizzie Rae born in Solihull England and raised in Scotland.

Shirley is survived by her 4 children, Debbie Nelson (Layne), Sherrie Cannon (Bronson), Keith Cannon (Jennifer), and Kent Cannon.  Her 18 grandchildren:  Austin, Trevor, Quincey, Skylar, Sid, Mercedes, Brady, Samantha, Vincent, Dillon, Carolyn, Chance, Landen, Brinton, Lexi, Wyatt, Hudson, and Brooklyn.  Her Aunt Ada in England. Her niece and great-nephew Jacqueline & Christopher in Australia. Two great-grandsons Liam and Charlie and two great-granddaughters Meadow and Addley!!

Shirley grew up in Aberdeen Scotland. After graduating from their schooling. She went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She then came to the United States and was a nanny before coming to Utah. She later became the Office Manager for Dr. Beck and Peterson which she loved very much.

She enjoyed shopping, shopping and more shopping. She loved traveling back home to England and Scotland, her Scottish bagpipes, her Scottish reunions, eating her English chocolate, BYU, working in the temple, watching her grandkid’s sports, and having parties, especially on her Birthday!

Shirley was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many different callings but loved her Young Women.  She also loved and donated frequently to the missionary fund to help support missionaries for the church.

Shirley is now reunited with her parents and her sister Audrey. Her family will miss her until we see her again. We love you Nana!!!

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, at Russon Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful Utah 84084 at 2:00 pm with a viewing before the funeral at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Bountiful, Utah 84084.
