Shirley Chapman Worsley passed away with grace at home and surrounded by her family on April 7, 2011 after a hard-fought struggle with breast cancer. Shirley was born October 7, 1947 in Centerville Utah, the daughter of Barney and Eugenia Chapman. She grew up with 10 siblings and attended Davis High School. She married her eternal companion Conway Dale Worsley on August 12, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple and raised five wonderful children. She will be remembered for her selfless service in the Church and the neighborhood, including her time as Relief Society President and service in the Young Womens. She always expressed gratitude that she was able to stay home and raise her children. As children we always knew she would be there when we got home from school. Shirley had a passion for genealogy and was a missionary at the LDS Church Family History Library. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fly-fishing, running, gardening, painting and especially sewing. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. Shirley is survived by her husband, her mother and her siblings, children: Craig (Kim), Camille (Jed) Shirts, Keri (Jeremy) Rugg, Kyle (Stefanie), Sherlyn (Matt) Myler. She has 17 wonderful grandchildren who all love her and will miss her. The family would like to thank Dr. Regina Klein at UCS, Dr. Saundra Buys at Huntsman. A special thanks to Melissa and the staff from South Davis Hospice. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Rowland Way Chapel, 610 N. Rowland Way (100 E.), Centerville. A viewing will be held Tuesday night at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at the Centerville Cemetery.
