Shirley Grande

January 14, 1925 — October 19, 2014

Shirley “Jean” Grande was surrounded by family when she joined her husband Jack and daughter Nora in Heaven on October 19th. Jean was born the fourth of six children to William and Nora Bauman on January 14, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married John “Jack” Grande on April 6,1946 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1975. Jean enjoyed traveling with Jack, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and serving in the LDS Church; she particularly enjoyed serving the sisters in her ward as Relief Society President. She leaves behind her children (John and Merna; Don and Colleen; Kathy and Keith Roos; Debbie and Jim Stevens; and Penny and Nick Ausick, twenty-two grandchildren and seventeen grandchildren-in-law (but she always said there were no in-laws, just family), and 30 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Rose Park 6th Ward, 1155 North 1200 West, SLC. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Saturday morning 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery.
