Shirley Wade, passed away gracefully & peacefully on July 3, 2016, surrounded by her children, their spouses, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mom was born May 1, 1928 to Horace Alonzo Knight & Mary McFarland Knight.

Her mother was a gracious and refined homemaker, her father fun loving and mischievous. Mom was a perfect combination of both. She gained a love of music from her mother, a talent she enjoyed throughout her life.

After graduating from Weber High School in 1946 she met and married the love of her life, Robert Vogelzang Wade on June 17, 1948. Together they raised four children. Mom loved being a wife and mother and in her later years a grandmother and great grandmother. It was her greatest joy.

Mom loved serving others throughout her life and held many callings in the Relief Society, MIA, Primary and Scouts. She sang in ward choirs and was a faithful visiting teacher until her last days. One of her greatest memories was serving a mission in New York City with dad. Together Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling and spending precious time with their children and grandchildren. Dad passed away on December 22, 1995. Mom took such good care of him to the end.

Mom later married Dan Favero and they had great times together.
