Shirley Lawrence "Nana" Lundgren

February 23, 1935 — April 22, 2016

Shirley Lawrence Lundgren, age 81, was reunited with her eternal companion on April 22, 2016, passing peacefully in her sleep.  She was born on February 23, 1935 to Richard Sterling and Thelma  McKenzie Lawrence in Salt Lake City. She married John Ross Lundgren on January 11, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Shirley was mostly a "stay-at-home" mom, volunteering in the PTA, at the elementary school and at the local hospital as a "pink lady." She also worked for a brief period at ZCMI Department store.

Shirley will be remembered for being crafty, talented, watching out for everyone else, always doing something for someone else, and her ability to teach others the many things she had learned such as cross-stitching, cake decorating, knitting, crocheting, and many more.

She enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She took every opportunity to babysit she could.  She had a great love for animals and had several dogs and cats throughout her life.
She was a wonderful example of service and fulfilling her obligations with a cheerful attitude.

Shirley was lucky to have spent a lot of time with her daughter Janice who took great care of her after her husband died.  Thank you for the tender love you gave our mom.  They were able to travel and have several adventures together. She will be missed greatly by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Steven Hill, sister Grace Ann Nygaard and brothers Ray and Richard Lawrence.

She is survived by her brother Mack Lawrence, children Leanne Hill, Janice Lundgren, John (Julie) Lundgren and her grandchildren Shelby (Nathan) Webster, Stefanie (Jeffery) Bowen, Maggie (Josh) Graham, Emma, Nick, and Alex Lundgren; Great grandchildren Carson, Zachary, and Dax Webster and Adelaide Bowen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Bountiful 20th Ward, 102 East 1400 South. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Tuesday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
