Shirley F. Moss
Shirley Farrer Moss passed away gracefully on February 4th, 2011. She was a loving, faithful, educator with a true zeal for life and living. Shirley was born on January 18, 1931 to Frank Elmer Farrer and Claire LaRue Zion, the second of four children. She married her sweetheart, Harold J. Moss on September 11th, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple and then raised their family in Bountiful, Utah. Harold passed away in 1995. All in her presence felt the gift of being encircled in her love and she had an intense capacity to love her children, family and friends. Always a faithful disciple of Christ, she served in many church callings including working in the Los Angeles temple. Shirley received both a bachelors degree and a masters degree from the University of Utah, and dedicated her life to teaching. She is survived by four children, Teresa St. Clair who resides in Turkey, Marie Phipps (Steve) Farmington, Utah, Laura Courage (Mark) Ilion, New York, Scott Moss (Keri) Woodland, Washington. She is also survived by her three siblings, Geraldine F. Clarke, Ray Farrer (Maryetta) and Jean F. Anderson (Tony). Shirley has 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at 11:00 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, located at 1941 North Main St., Farmington Utah. Friends and family can visit Monday evening February 7th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary.
