Shirley N. Morris
April 5, 1932 – January 1, 2018
Shirley Morris (formally Shirley Brandt) was born in Los Angeles, California on April 5, 1932. She spoke often of having a happy, adventurous childhood. She attended Vernon Avenue Elementary School, John Muir Junior High School, and graduated from Washington High School in 1950.
She married Orvil (Moe) Morris in 1954, and moved to Torrance, California in 1955 where they had two daughters: Lori Morris, born in 1956, and Cindy Morris, born in 1959. The marriage ended in divorce in 1970, but Shirley continued to live in Torrance where she became a court transcriber for 12 years. She then moved to South Gate, California and worked for Northrop Corporation until her retirement at 62. Afterwards, she moved to Farmington, Utah where she lived until her death.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lori (Carl) Hills and Cindy Burris; half-sister, Wanda Allen; four grandchildren, Summer (Bobby) Murphy, Jeffery (Jessica) Scott, Jeremy Laureano, and Lacy Omon; plus four great grandchildren, Araya, Robert, Samantha, and Alexander.
All services will be held at 1941 North Main St. Farmington, Utah (Russon Mortuary), with viewings on January 5 (7-9 PM) and January 6 (9-9:40 AM), followed by funeral services at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest at Farmington Cemetery following the services.
