Sigrid Madsen Eggett arrived on December 9, 1939 to Clara Belle & Eugene Madsen. She left very peacefully on November 17, 2011, with her adoring family by her side. Sid married Larry Eggett on September 21, 1959. Together they shared a life full of love, laughter and adventure. They shared life together for 52 years and then some, give or take a few. Together they had 5 children, whom they raised with love: Marci, Larry, Shawn, Jodi & Nikki. Grandma was the favorite job she ever had. She was blessed with 12 grandkids and 8 great- grandkids, with one on the way. Grandma Sid and Grandpa Larry have more kids and grandkids than they can count, they loved them all the same. Her life was so precious and everyone who ever met her felt the warmth of her heart. There was no stranger in grandma’s life, just friend’s she hadn’t made yet. Mom loved to cook, bake, paint, sew and shop. Always with her kids and family in mind. Every single Holiday was a full blown event. Birthdays were made to be a celebration like no other. We will carry on her traditions as they meant the world to her. She has left us so many wonderful family traditions that are part of each of our lives and will be cherished forever. She taught us all how to truly love one another with a gentle heart and soft touch. She loved having all her kids together in one room, laughing and telling stories. Something she loved more than anything was listening to her sweetheart sing. Her favorite song he sang to her was “Roses are Red”. She was a full time wife, mother, grandma, baby sitter, and homemaker. She worked at Lakeview Hospital for the past 17 years and enjoyed her relationships she made there. She was preceded in death by her mother, step-father Lance Downing whom she was sealed to earlier this year, father, step-mother. Survived by her husband and forever sweetheart, Larry: children: Marci (Keith) Rasmussen, Larry Jr., Shawn (Tammy), Jodi (Tick) Hugoe, Nikki (Aaron) Nelson; Grandkids: Dixon, Russell, Mandy, Skyler, Ashli, Charity, Heather, Shealee, Bobbi, Nate, Maddie, and Vinny; brothers, Dick and Scott, as well as her extended family and friends too numerous to mention, including her lunch bunch gang. Special thanks to Dr. Sandra Buys, Dr. Estelle Harris and the incredible staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute that gave loving, compassionate care to our mother. We love you to the moon and back!
