Sione T. Moala

Sione T. Moala passed away on January 27, 2022, in Tooele, Utah. He was born on January 8, 1960, in Pea, Tonga to Ulaiasi and Sulieti Moala.

He married Janet Moala on December 6, 1984 in the Tongan Temple with whom he shared four children with.  He later remarried Meleana Moala on January 4, 2019.

He was an easy-going loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He had a passion for music and loved playing the guitar and singing. He served an LDS mission in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. He enjoyed playing many different sports including Rugby, Tennis and Softball. Some would say he was the world’s best storyteller and could talk for hours.

Sione is survived by his loving spouse Meleana Moala; his children Sepeti, Loata, Donald, Tofavaha and two stepchildren Asi and Wendy. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Malakai, Maleia, Taimani, Kiah, Marion, Malik, Seneti and Skye; many nieces, nephews, and siblings.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Moala; his parents Ulaiasi and Sulieti Moala, his sister Eseta Tuifua and many family members.

Funeral Services will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah on Thursday February 3, 2022 from 6:00-10:00pm and Friday February 4, 2022 from 8:00-11:00am.

Burial Service will follow:  Syracuse Cemetery, 1250 S 1000 W, Syracuse, UT 84075.
