Stanley Stringham

Biography

Stanley Hogan Stringham, age 90 passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. He was born April 10, 1924 in SLC, Ut to Jacob Harvey Stringham and Wilhelmina Hogan Stringham. Stan married Jennie Wicker on March 22, 1947. Stan was in the US Navy and served proudly in World War II, Pacific Theater. Stan graduated from Davis High School, and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah.

Stan had a long and distinguished career with Mountain Fuel (Questar Gas), retiring as the Director of Industrial Marketing. Stan served many roles in the community including President to the Layton Rotary Club, President for two terms of the Layton Chamber of Commerce, Executive Secretary of the Bountiful Chamber of Commerce, several positions in the Bountiful Lions Club and member of the VFW. Stan was civic minded and ever involved in his community.

Stan and Jennie had a long and happy retirement together. They especially loved cruising and land tours taking them to many beautiful destinations. Stan was an animal lover, over the years many pets found a loving home with Stan and Jennie.

Survived by his wife Jennie Stringham and children Alene, Mark, Lynn, Steve, Dean, and Scott (Candice); 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sister Mary Rampton (John).

A viewing will be held Sunday, Sept. 21, 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT. A graveside service will be held Sept 22 at 12:00pm at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful.
