Stella Miller

March 26, 1928 — December 24, 2014

Stella Jane Leavitt Anderson Miller, 86, was born March 26, 1928 and passed away suddenly due to injuries sustained in a fall on Dec 24, 2014.
Stella was born in Mutual, UT to Lyman Franklin and Ora Jewkes Leavitt. She was the oldest of 3, followed by sisters Beth and Donna. She spent the majority of her youth in Kennilworth, UT, where she received a good education and enjoyed participating on herschool volleyball and basketball teams.
She married Bruce Anderson and they were the parents of 5 children: Susan Birchall (John), Gary (Janet), Nancy Paradiso (John), Brent, and Karen Stephens (Craig). The family spent time in Provo, Monticello, and then Moreland, ID before settling in California in 1955. Bruce and Stella later divorced.
She met and married Harold Miller in 1983 and they enjoyed traveling together. Harold passed away in 1986.
Stella spent the last 10 years living in Utah and enjoyed her final year at Country Care Assisted Living in Farmington.
Stella was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in may callings, including 30 years as ward organist. She was an avid gardener and many neighbors and friends enjoyed the fruits of her labors. She loved reading, music and was a SUPER sports fan! She could often be found watching a game on tv (while listening to another on the radio), or, in her earlier years, cheering for her kids at basketball, baseball, or swimming events.
Stella is survived by her sister Donna Jenkins (Jack), of Nampa, ID, her son, Brent Anderson of Salt Lake City, and daughter, Karen Stephens (Craig) of Kaysville. She also leaves behind 25 grandchildren, and 58 great grandchildren. She will be missed by so many!

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Dec 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the South Bench Ward chapel, 1282 W. 1875 N., Farmington (with a viewing from 10 – 10:45 am prior).
