Steven Bernard Scott

December 24, 1962 — May 13, 2018

Steven Bernard Scott went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 13, 2018. Steven was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Scott, Jr. and Bette Ann Benns. He is survived by his siblings Jeffrey Scott, Van Scott, Georgetta Scott, Tara Scott, Zena Scott, Tyrone Scott, Bryan Benns (Jody), Elizabeth Benns, Daphne English Lynch (Ryan), Larry English II. Preceding his death, mother Bettye Benns English, Step Father Larry English Sr, and Sister “Pumpkin” Scott. Left to mourn are Uncle Roy and Uncle Rob “Terry” Benns, Nephews Jeremy, Adonis, and Evander, and Niece Ashlee, and countless cousins. Steven served in the Army and National Guard. He graduated from West High School in 1981, and he attended classes at the Salt Lake City Community College. He married Anne Marie Martin in 1990 and they had a Beautiful Daughter Jessie Anne Scott in 1997. Steven enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking, entertaining, going to Wendover, and socializing as he was nick named “Mr. Nice Guy.” Steve was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan like his Mother Bettye Anne. And also, like his Mother Bettye Anne, Steve walked in a room with strangers and came out with a room full of friends. Steve was an organ donor and he was able to save four lives! His sacrifice will result in glass plaque with his name displayed at his favorite place to relax – The S.L.C. Library! The family would like to thank a Special Guardian Angel named Tom Jones who took Steve out with him traveling and fishing. Steve loved the Lord and his Daughter Jessie Anne, who was his world! His unconditional love and kindness will be deeply missed.
