Steven Ray Thomson, 51, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Steve was born August 7, 1963 in Payson,Utah. He was the oldest of three children born to Betty Jean Hamblin Thomson. Steve grew up in Bountiful, Utah attending Washington Elementary, Bountiful Junior High, and graduated from Viewmont High School in 1981. Steve served valiantly as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Spain, Madrid mission from 1982-1984. He shared a deep love for the Spanish people, retaining his Spanish speaking skills for the remainder of his life. Steve had a constant love of learning, mastering several languages, which also included German, Tongan, and Arabic. He had an uncanny ability to retain unusual information that couldn’t possibly be needed by any normal human being; frequently commenting that he was a “Font of Useless Information”. He was a quick-wit and a practical joker, keeping everyone around him on their toes.
Steve married the love of his life, AnJalynn Clark on April 24, 1997 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Their union was blessed by six beautiful children, AuLora, Steven Robert, Dallin Joseph, Kaitlynn, Jonathan David, and Rachel.
