Susan Heiner Kemp passed away on June 19, 2016. Susan was born on December 14, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Mont A. Heiner and Margaret Alexander Heiner. She was an angel to everyone who knew her and she was always thinking of others first.
Susan married Richard Goff Kemp in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary this November. Together they raised three children.
Susan graduated from Utah State University to become a teacher. She taught deaf students at Primary Children’s Hospital. Susan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints where she willingly served. Among her many callings, she served as Relief Society president and Young Women’s president. She also served as a temple worker. Susan organized a Ladies Lunch Brunch and loved to visit local restaurants as a social group. She was known as the “Skit Queen” because of the many skits that she wrote. Susan loved and spoiled her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a loving husband, Richard Goff Kemp, brother, Clyde Heiner (Gail), sister Nancy Gardiner, sister-in-law, Pamela Bishop (Will), children; Candace Winkelman (John), Curtis Richard (Heidi), Ryan Jonathon Kemp, and 11 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. that the Bountiful 37th Ward, 1540 North 400 East. Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. And Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
