Our beautiful, courageous Susan passed from the loving arms of her family into the Savior's embrace. Susan faced the challenges of cancer with dignity and grace. She has taught us many things by her examples of a cheerful, positive, happy attitude. She has shown us how to face hard times with strength and faith. A favorite quote of hers is "If you are alone, I'll will be your shadow, If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you are not happy, I'll be your smile. If you need me, I'll always be there." Susan has been our peacemaker and so easy to love.
In her childhood Susan lived in Preston Idaho, Sugarhouse Utah, Bountiful Utah 16 years, Woods Cross Utah 29 years. She graduated from Viewmont High School in 1987, attended Utah State University, and received her Associate Degree from Weber State University.
Susan loved working at Woods Cross Elementary School, and the past seven years at Primary Children's Hospital in the ENT Clinic. She valued her coworkers and appreciated their friendships.
Susan held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially enjoyed her service in the Young Women's organization where she loved working with the Young Women leaders and youth. Their camps were amazing, energetic, fun, and spiritual too.
Susan's greatest joy was serving and spending time with her family. She loved the beaches of Kauai, St. George in the sun, and countless hours at the ball fields supporting her children. A highlight of her life was shopping days with the girls (daughters, sisters, mother)!
Susan, we are grateful for the life lessons you have taught us throughout your life and especially these past two years. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Family wishes to express deep gratitude to the University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer institute for their kind and compassionate service. We love you Susan. You are in our hearts for always and ever!
