Suzanna van Paddenburg Goodfellow

Suzanna Anna Maria Van Paddenburg Goodfellow, age 102, returned to her Father in Heaven on 14th May 2017.

She was born Aug. 6, 1914 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands.

She was the eldest of three daughters born to Jan Willem and Trijntje Bakker Van Paddenburg.

She immigrated to the United States in 1922 and became a citizen in 1929.

Sue married Byron H. Goodfellow Aug. 30, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the PTA, Letter Carriers Auxiliary and civic affairs.

She is survived by her children – Dixie (Donald) Gilchrist, David B. Goodfellow and Colleen Pocock, 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom she greatly loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her two sisters Martina V. Larsen and Kathryn V. Ross, and a great granddaughter Claire Marie Jones.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sat. May 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Russon Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City with a viewing prior to the services at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
