Tamera Diane Edmonds Wilson
1940~2013

Tamera Diane Edmonds Wilson returned to her Heavenly Father on June 8, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a special wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Diane was born April 29, 1940 in Bountiful, Utah, the daughter of Raymond D. and Martha B. Edmonds. She attended West Bountiful Elementary School, South Davis Jr. High (now Bountiful Jr. High) and Bountiful High School.

She married Tom J. Wilson on August 15, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with five children, one daughter, and four sons. She and Tom also raised their granddaughter Angela and grandson Anthony, and they helped raise two great-grandchildren.

Diane loved music and sang with church and school groups, along with her sisters. She also loved roller skating. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she sang in a trio, helped with roadshows, led music in several church organizations and danced at church Gold and Green Balls. She enjoyed her church callings, especially in directing plays and in music.

Because Diane loved working with and helping older folks, she worked as a nurses aid at a care center and also managed a restaurant and a diet center.

She especially loved having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her. She was devoted to her family and sacrificed a great deal for their benefit. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Tom, a daughter Denise, and sons Tom Jr., Gordon, Darren and Gary, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Rayone (Merlin) Adams, Kathy (Richard) Atwood, Linda (Jerry) Reed and one brother, Gary (Leona) Edmonds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main St. Family and friends may call Thursday evening, June 13 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Bountiful Cemetery on 200 West.
