Terrijean Slater

Terrijean Slater, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed through the veil on March 31st, 2012 to be reunited with her sweetheart Bruce, whom she has sorely missed since his passing in May 2010.
Mom was born in Ogden, Utah to Marchant (Mac) and Edna Newman on June 2, 1948. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1966. She earned her degree in nursing from BYU and Weber State Universities. Her nursing career spanned 37 years and she loved every minute of it. She particularly enjoyed working with the elderly and Hospice. Mom was the model homemaker. When it came to cooking, she had no equal. She enjoyed making crafts and always had a special treat for everyone.
Mom and Dad were married on June 19, 1968 in the Logan Temple and thereafter spent 42 magical years together. In her later years, she suffered through many health challenges with courage and faith.
She is survived by her children, Elli and Chad Bangerter, Jenni and Kenny Jewell, Noel and Hillarie Slater; 9 precious grandchildren: Saydey, Skyler, Brady, Cody, Jackson, Rylee, Tyler, Jakey and little Brocky; along with her faithful little puppy, Barney; also survived by siblings: Joyce Lasko, Gary Newman and Debbie Manning. There was never a more generous woman in the world. Mom, although you slipped quietly away from us, your memory will forever be cherished.May you now be able to run and not be weary. We Love You!
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, Jensen Park Ward, 3024 South 1200 West, Syracuse, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Roy City Cemetery.
