Theda Polson Hirschi was born in Shelly, Idaho on April 15, 1929 to Andrew Vernal Polson and Elma Fern Clark.
She had four sisters, Mary Ellen (deceased), Greta (deceased), Nina (deceased) and Beverly and one brother, Vernal Jack who passed away when he was two years old.
Theda married Jay Richard Hirschi, December 17, 1946, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Moscow, Idaho, Idaho Falls and Rigby in Idaho and then in Tremonton and Centerville, Utah.
Theda attended Ricks College, served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered at the Bear River Valley Hospital while residing in Tremonton, Utah.
As a couple, Jay and Theda served a mission in the Newell K. Whitney store in Kirtland, Ohio. They both served at the Logan Temple and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Their children are Renee (Randy Smith), Brent (deceased), Karen (Randy Buck, deceased), Mark (Sherry Gregory), Val (Nanette Davis), Debra (Kevin Reid), and Shauna (Doug Christensen). They have 7 children, 31 Grandchildren, 80 Great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main, Farmington, Utah, where a viewing will held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
