Thelma Marie Urli Pickett 1923-2010

Thelma Marie Urli Pickett passed away December 15, 2010 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born November 13, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Trygve Singvald Urli and Lilly Marie Janson. She married Christiancy Pickett Jr. On August 24, 1951 in El Paso, Texas. Thelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She grew up in Salt Lake City, attended South High and the University of Utah where she was a member of LAMBDA DELTA SIGMA and IOTA. She enjoyed cooking, photography, and traveling to many different places with her husband Chris. Thelma was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and honored her ancestors by continuing many of the Norwegian traditions with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Christiancy Pickett Jr. and her parents. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family expresses their appreciation and deep gratitude to Becky VanDam (Sidwell) and Feofaaki (Aki) Lolohea for the dedication and tender loving care they gave Thelma the past ten years. A viewing will be held Saturday December 18, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, followed by a graveside service at the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Center Street.
